- Have they a history of regular attendance at work?
- Are they solvent?
- Have they a checkable and genuine background?
Criminal History Check:
The subject needs to complete a form and send it off to the relevant authorities. There is an average time delay of about 15 days for the results of the checks to come through; this means that the employer should take into account this situation before giving the potential employee a position in the company.
These checks should be aligned with investigative enquiries carried out by our qualified investigators to ascertain if previous employer reference checks are true and genuine. In other words that the person actually worked at the business they said they did.
Also bear in mind that if you offer employment to a person that will be involved in an appointment of financial responsibility (example – running your firms accounts), then we would also advise carrying out finance and credit checks on that person.
They might have money problems and this may attract them to ‘misappropriate funds’.
